Firearms Import in Canada
Here is an overview of the Canadian legislation on firearm imports for sporting purposes.
To be allowed to import one or more firearms for hunting purposes in Canada, the visitor must fill a declaration of import (downloadable down this page).
This form, which you must fill in three original copies, will serve as your "license" for your whole stay. Remember NOT TO SIGN the forms prior to your arrival at the Canadian customs. You must sign the forms in presence of an agent. This license is valid for a period of 60 days.
